Salamanca cultural

Salamanca is a welcoming city situated in the north west of Spain, in the Castile and Leon region. The University of Salamanca is the oldest in Spain, and one of the first in Europe. It is an important student centers and a reference for the Spanish in the world.

The city has a population of approximately 180,000. The "Salmantinos" are welcoming and open to foreign students. Approximately 60,000 students from all over the world come to study in Salamanca per year. Salamanca has been the European Capital of Culture in 2002, a sign of the cultural dimension of the city.

By taking a nice walk in Salamanca, you will notice the richness of architecture and monuments, both classical and modern: the famous Plaza Mayor, the two cathedral, the San Estebaban church, the House of Shells...

But Salamanca is not only culture. During the night, the city changes its dress and hundreds of clubs and bars open their doors.
